Microsoft has extended the customer surveillance features of Microsoft Vista greatly both technically and via EULA since Windows XP. By running Vista you give Microsoft the permission, rights and obligation to watch what you do, report about what you do and if they do not like what they see disable your ability to use THEIR computer. Microsoft Vista is for suckers.

Vista both locks you in a box of what you are allowed to do and watches you to make sure that is all you do. It's just like being subject to in home incarceration.

Microsoft also fears virtualization of Windows Vista, because then many of these surveillance and control features can be worked around.
